This course is taught on the very latest networked work stations and provides solid foundations for a successful career in today's ever expanding computer industry. No previous experience in computing is necessary; the course starts right from the beginning and covers all the main skills - Computer Programming, Systems Analysis and Design and software utilisation.
By the end of only one academic year of study students will be able to programme in Q Basic, Visual Basic and one other language, will be familiar with the fundamental concepts of Computer System Design and implementation, and will be able to make effective use of the latest "Windows" based computer software, including Microsoft Word for Windows (Word processing), Microsoft Excel (Spreadsheets), Microsoft Access (Databases) and Microsoft Publisher (Desktop Publishing). They will also learn how to use CD-ROM technology, Modems and the global Internet.
