ACP Advanced Diploma in Computer Science

A stepping stone from the first year Diploma course to the Greenwich University degree.

Rated as equivalent in standard to an HND, the ACP Advanced Diploma is the second year of the BSc degree programme though, like the Certificate and Diploma, it can also be used as a qualification in its own right

On this course the skills that have been developed on the first year (or elsewhere in the case of direct entrants) are refined and developed, with particular attention paid to programming in Java. Students who successfully complete this programme have a choice of starting a career in the IT industry or progressing to the final year of the degree. As a matter of interest, a substantial part of this course is taught by the ACP Chief Examiner who lectures at the College on a part-time basis so as to maintain some involvement in delivery of the courses he examines worldwide.
